One Party State Laws Being Enforced On Seychelles Freedom Party Leaflet And Staff While James AlixMichel Sham Elected President Says We Are In A Democracy!!

Press Release
28.09.11

Newspaper Act is a One Party State Act that violates basic principles of Democracy and Freedom. The Freedom Party has asked the MEDIA COMMISSION and the RULING PARTY to cause to retire this Act. They have failed to do so up to now. It has been in force illegally for 19 years.

The Newspaper Act suppresses Freedom of Speech of political parties if applied to them for simple leaflets or flyers that guide members and supporters on an issue.

The seizing of such leaflets and flyers, which is nothing more than campaign materials, is illegal in any democracy and Freedom Party brings this to the attention of the international community and European states that associate regularly with the Seychelles political regime of James Michel such as France, the United Kingdom and the United State of America.

"BOYCOTT" leaflet is distributed free of charge to members and supporters, and has no advertisements. It is on a simple A4 paper 80 gsm weight. It is not a newspaper. Hence it cannot be subject to newspaper ACT.

These flyers have no business purpose. SLA registers businesses, not non business interests that are of a political nature.

IOG distributed leaflets and were not seized. PL distributes leaflets every week not licensed. The Church prints distributes leaflets every week not licensed they are not seized, discotheque releases flyers and are not licensed, Centre D’acceuil De La Rosiere C.A.R releases Pamphlet and are not licensed even just lately Democracy Citizens Watch Gave SFP a Pamphlet which is not Licensed.

The attempt by the ruling party to seize these flyers is indication of the ONE PARTY STATE mentality it is still in after 18 years. Similarly, the fielding of fake opposition parties is also indicative of a One Party State mentality. Taken together, it is indicative of the possibility of a not credible election process in play, because to BOYCOTT an election is a right just as to support and vote for an election is.

End.

Police state tactics. They do not want the case for the boycott to be heard. While the campaign for both PL and MDP targeted the boycott.

Is it illegal to write your opinions on a piece of paper and distribute them in town ? Do we need a business licence for that ?

As I said earlier, it was necessary to watch David Pierre in his PPB with eyes closed. If you did that, you would have heard one little gem, worth its weight in gold, in Pierre's incoherent grand design to take on Parti Lepep in the national assembly.

He said that even if SBC does not broadcast all that the opposition says in the national assembly, Parti Lepep's MNAs hears everything. That makes a big difference.

Eureka !

That was a Eureka moment. Pierre has found the answer to all our woes -- jaw-jaw with Parti Lepep MNAs in the national assembly , while SBC refuses to broadcast much of it. Why didn't we think of that before the boycott ?

With bunkum like that, Herminie is unlikely to press his button to cut Pierre in mid-speech, if he gets into the national assembly.

Pierre is promising a dramatic self-conversion. Earlier this year, while Marie-Antoinette Rose was regaling the assembly with the Kok Maron story, Pierre was shouting insults back and expecting support from SNP MNAs. It is just as well that Parti Lepep has forgiven him his misdemeanours, now that that he is in the same camp as them. Just as well too that Ginette Gamatis has been booted off the assembly (Michel has no time for geriatrics) and it remains to be seen whether Marie-Antoinette Rose will get in through the back door on the proportional list.

When you cannot attack Parti Lepep because they are funding your campaign, your options are limited. Hence why Pierre spent his time attacking SNP.

SFP successfully distributed 5000 leaflets in spite of this failed attempt to stop a Party from communicating with its members and supporters.

Freedom Party agenda is clear:

1. Democracy;

2. Freedom;

3. Regime Change.

To do this, we call on

For SFP taking in concideration the time the party was registered,it has achieve more than any existing parties have achieve in their eighteen years of existence in weeks.Unity of the oppostion,Inicitated the boycott, forced PP to appointed 5 out of 7 members the EC,created a fake party, forced Pp to use intimidation is day lights, etc etc ,historical for a party created in weeks before the election. Not to mention the way it organize the boycott campaign.Actions on the ground speak for themsleves.

SNP Pathetic-

Thank you for the compliment.

Please work towards uniting the opposition. In a democracy, division is destruction. In a one party state, division is death.

If you need an example where division caused destruction unexpectedly, take a look at the European Union.

They have one single currency, but numerous budgets and numerous monetary and economic policies.

Today, they are 5 weeks to meltdown.

Seychelles cannot afford division in the opposition or national stage.Work out the issues, and let us move on.

Boycott!

We all hope especially SNP will hold the unity beyond the boycott, there are lots of work to do and as the boycott has already shown when parties are united and speak with one voice their actions have weight.

Mistake of dvision we saw in the past should be the past,it is time to keep the momentum in order to get the job done.We must make sure that we finish with is rogue system as soon as possible.

What unity Gill???
Weren't you the one who said he wouldn't work with a baboon?

Anonymous said...

Congratulation to SFP for the successful distribution of leaflets. God is on your side. He is on the side of Justice.

GILL!
Didn't you say you wouldn't work with a baboon/millionaire priest?

Anonymous said...

Gill!
I see that you are now scared to answer these baboon questions!

Ou nepli gayar aprezan!

Reply to Baboon-

The baboon a word which you use, is in direct reference to a fake profile on facebook called Murbarak. The profile picture of Murbarak is a Gorilla. I made reference to the picture of a fake profile, not to a person.

I have told you time and time again and again, using fake profiles is not a good thing to do. It compromises your position.

On Priest Millionaire-

I have not helped make any priest a millionaire.
I am dead against wealth in the priesthood. The priesthood involves taking a vow of poverty to serve the Lord.

Please look beyond petty issues building up in your head. A Nation is BANKRUPT and BROKEN. A people is suffering like never before since WWII. It is about to get much, much worse for us all.

Stay focused on the BOYCOTT!

We have all the right to Boycott this Sham Elected President and its government.
I see a lot of people are still living under this one party state mentality, well unless you fight for real democracy, we will always be in this same shit hole we are in right now.

Real Democracy means: The right to express ourselves freely without being victimized.

The right to our freedom of speech when we want.

You all have a choice; freedom, justice and real democracy or living under a corrupted government.

Linyon i fer lafors.

And if we all work together, with God Yes we can!!

After all Sesel i pou Seselwa.

God bless you all freedom loving Seychellois!!!!

If Wavel didn't want to be call a baboon then he shouldn't have behave like a baboon!

Wavel has now re-unite with the Dead Party! I wonder if this is for the sake of the Seychelles or is it just to take away the focus on his exit. If you happened to meet him, don't forget to tell him that the SNP caucus is patiently waiting for him to relinquish the leadership of the party so that we can re-establish the credibility that he had tarnished.

Please put your issues with Wavel Ramkalawan aside, focus on the Boycott!

Then how come you are posting these pictures of Ramkalawan on your blogg with a view to incriminate him mister two-face?

Anonymous said...

Becuase that who he is and it^s well-known around the country for the people have been following him for eigtheen years is not you who will tell them ther contary.Criticism should be something someone use to reflect of the whys, thus use it to the betterment of oneself or past wrongs.A person with dignity should accept critics unless he thinks, he is a dictator like Michel.

There is nothing sinister of a picture of Ramkalawan.

Ramkalawan is not the subject. Why do you make him the subject?
