Lets ask Ralph Volcere Why Did Ramadoss Resigned From Parti Lepep (PL)??

A Round Table Without King Arthur?

As English folklore has it, when there were pending issues facing young England to be discussed, King Arthur, a valiant knight of courage and goodwill, would summons a Round Table of leaders to address the issues one by one in the interest of the motherland. From round table, truth surfaced, and made England great and her institutions survive until today, though, they have no constitution.

No King Arthur at Seychelles Political Round Table Present

In Seychelles, we have called for a Round Table of political party leaders to discuss long overdue reforms that should have taken place back in 1993. SFP has attended these round table meetings, SNP is there, DP, PL-PDM is present. But only the PL does not have it’s leadership attending these meetings.
Mr. Michel is noticeably absent, as is Mr. Faure, and Mr. Simon Gill calls the shots, when he is not in hot water, and risk losing a job over what he says, or what he may not say. It is no way to move forward, it is hardly a way forward in the exercise of nation building.

If the Round Table is to be seen as being a serious undertaking, the leader of PL , Mr. Michel, should be big enough to attend these meetings as initially agreed in housekeeping meetings last year with Minister Jean Paul Adam.

In my view, it is a shame that Mr. Michel up to know, has not attended these meetings, it is a lost opportunity to present himself to the people, as a true statesman. By ignoring pending national issues, that are now being pressed by the Commonwealth, and tending to crisis in Madagascar, as if his own house is in order, Mr. Michel is a bit like the footballer, who shows up to the pitch without a jockey or shoes for the match.

One would think that if Mr. Rene was big enough to face Mr. Mancham in 1993, Mr. Michel would be big enough to attend the Round Table discussions to address  issues of national importance.

No SBC

Another commitment in the housekeeping meetings leading up to the Round Table discussion on political reform last year, was the agreement that the SBC will film and televise these events in order that the Public can participate in this important, overdue, democratic exercise. They have failed to live up to this promise.

The Electoral Commission has written to the SBC, at the request of the SFP, they have not responded positively though every single man, woman, child in Seychelles knows all too well that the SBC is still not independent, and it is still a broadcasting apparatus of the SPPFPL, similar to old one party state days. This is in absolute contravention of every single Commonwealth Observer Report ever written on the election process in Seychelles, since 1993, every single report.

Boycott If Necessary

It is imperative, that before any party participate in these round Table discussions, any further, that a reasonable conclusion be reached with the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation, the Election Commission and all political parties. Opposition parties, that serious must be prepared to BOYCOTT these proceedings if a consensus is not reached on this issue.

End June 5th and End June 18th as Fake Holiday’s

If we are serious about democracy in Seychelles, we must all be intellectually honest about two pending national holidays that must be brought to an end, to allow greater unity in the country, and attempt in good faith, to foster an atmosphere of peace, brotherhood, and common good to rebuild Seychelles.
The first real step that must be taken in this direction is to remove June 5th and June 18th as national days for the country. Our real national day, is our Independence day, June 29th . It is so in all countries. June 5th cannot be a Liberation day, because on June 5th, SPUP liberated itself from DP. DP was made up of Seychellois.

Some said Mr. Mancham was a colonial stooge, fine, but he was still a Seychellois. So there can be no Liberation from your own people. Let’s put the play on emotions, and intellectual dishonesty to  rest and end June 5th so the healing can start for all of Seychelles, not least the family members of the victims that died that day, and after that day, because of that day.

June 18th, as Mr. Michel correctly highlights, is a constitutional provision. But this provision was made, to accommodate DP, in the transition. Hence, it is not a real national holiday in bona fide terms. We can put it to rest and stop trying to fool people into thinking that June 18th is some special day. Even during the parade, each year, we now see more GOP workers attending the ceremony then Seychellois. They should be working, not enjoying a parade, while Seychellois toil hard all day in hotels and run buses.

June 29th, as the Interfaith Leaders correctly appealed to Mr. Michel last month, is the “liberation day” of Seychelles, and “National Day” and “Independence day”.
This day,  should never, never, have been reduced to a secondary school sports day. Such a decision, foments national division in the country, throughout the year. We must all strive to give Independence Day June 29th, the merit-full place in our calendar that it deserves, free of political party manipulation, which insures the political playing field is not leveled. For a nation, there may be internal conflicts and strife, but there can be no greater day then Independence day for all that make up a nation.

To change this, we do not need a referendum. All parties can agree on the matter within the context of the Election Reform Round Table, and the PL have a super majority in the National Assembly, with the help of PDM Mr. David Pierre, they can resolve this political malaise, that breeds internal strife in Seychelles 365 days a year. In the end, our country under performs and under produces 365 days a year because of it.

Heal or Destroy Seychelles Mr. Michel

In this day and age, Seychelles must choose between internal strife, or economic and social excellence. The One party state model we are still living under cannot produce economic success with a divided people. If the PL persists in their mischief, fake historical realities, the age of economic turbulence upon us will drain all resources, Seychelles will resign itself to failed state status, not far from Madagascar……we are not far from Madagascar.

I hope I do not have to tell you what resources I am talking about.

To: Lawrence Wells

Dear Mr. Wells,
Thank you for asking.  So far as I know, we are still waiting for the Seychelles to present their written report to us, so that we can analyze it and respond.  If they delay further, eventually we will proceed without their report, but for the moment I believe we are still waiting for them to present it.

Thank you for your patience.

With best wishes,

The Seychelles commissioner Of Police Mr. Ernest Quatre Will Soon be Retiring and Replaced, So who will replace Him???

Will it be Superintendent Ted Barbe or will it be Godfra Hermitte our next Seychellois Police Commissioner??

Ted Barbe:

Ted Barbe is allege to be the favourite candidate for the job by PL even to the extent that he was sent on a course to be able to meet the post requirements and be one of PL's smart Compol. This goes further; Mr. Ted Barbe is also known as a lepep supporter with loads of his family from Praslin at the heart of Parti Lepep's Strong Arms. He is well groomed in computer instances and is quite young for the job.

This man is believed to be an individual that would do all of PL's bee-dings without any questions asked and is not so well loved or admired by other members of the police force.

Godfra Hermitte:

Godfra Hermitte is allege to be a suck up to PL's bull but a very well qualified fully experienced police officer. Unlike Barbe he is allege to have been related to the deceased Ricky Hermitte that was killed and it is also said that he does not entirely agrees with some ways the police force functions. Hermitte was often seen on television doing the work to cover up on PL's behalf but he is said to be of opposed view. Hermitte is by far PL's greatest Pick to hide the real intent of human rights violations by appointing someone that they think will give credibility to this regime. If they appoint Hermitte he will not only give credibility to the regime but as a faithful servant of his master he will do whatever they say. Parti Lepep is very cunning.

US planned maritime ‘Maginot Line’: From Indian Ocean to Pacific

From Link: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2012/08/13/255972/us-planned-maritime-maginot-line/

The United States, wracked by a sputtering economy, has decided to construct a modern-age “Maginot Line” from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific.

Unlike the Maginot Line, which was a series of underground fortresses and tunnels, built by the French along their border with Germany to be an “impregnable” barrier to prevent an invasion by Adolf Hitler’s Army, America’s “Maginot Line” is composed of a chain of naval and air bases, intelligence-gathering sites, and pre-positioned military supplies.

In 1940, the German Army struck at France by going around the Maginot Line and crossing the French frontier after invading neutral Belgium. Unlike France, which faced a clear threat from a rearming Germany, the chain of bases being established by the United States from the east coast of Africa and the Red Sea through the Indian Ocean and into Southeast Asia and the Pacific is not in answer to any specific threat to the security of the United States, but to provide a bulwark against an amorphous collection of “threats” to America and/or its allies. The threats, cited by neo-conservative and neo-liberal policymakers alike, include “China, Iran, al-Qaeda, and other ‘global Jihadists,’” and alleged various minor asymmetric warfare players.

In fact, there is no real threat to the United States or its allies from any of the oft-referenced “threats.” America’s buildup in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific is to ensure the continued dominance of the budget-consuming military-industrial complex, protect the financial interests of companies that owe little or no allegiance to the United States, and to project the American military power around the globe.

In east Africa, an American military and intelligence base has, for some time, existed at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti. The Obama administration is beefing up the American military and intelligence presence in the region, including the Horn of Africa, by establishing a naval base in Manda Bay, Kenya, a drone base in Arba Minch, Ethiopia, a drone base in Victoria on the island of Mahé in the Seychelles, an air facility and drone “training” in Entebbe, Uganda, a drone “training” base in Burundi, a maritime tracking station at the Pemba naval base in northern Mozambique, a surveillance and naval base on the Kenyan island of Lamu near the Somali coast, and an air facility at Juba Airport in South Sudan. There are also reports that the United States has considered building a naval base on the large Maldives atoll of Marao.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on a trip to Africa, tipped her hand on the future American intentions in the region. While watching a US drone, provided to the Ugandan military, Clinton said the United States wants to deploy “improved” drones, which can see through the jungle canopy.

Many Ugandans agree that the drones’ alleged target represent a spent force and the only reason, the United States has for deploying drones with infrared capabilities to peer through heavy jungle growth is to provide support for the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) to wipe out any opposition forces in the bush, who pose threats to the US client dictators in the region. The dictators, supported by the United States, include Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, Paul Kagame of Uganda, and Meles Zenawai of Ethiopia. America’s only interest in the region is to ensure the continued flow of diamonds, gold, oil, natural gas, columbite-tantalite, platinum, and uranium from the resource-rich Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, South Sudan, and the Central African Republic.

The United States has never made it a secret that it wants to establish a base on the Yemeni island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean. With Yemen in political transition, the US sees a real opportunity to grab Socotra. The United States and Britain have also reportedly dusted off an old secret plan by the Royal Air Force to establish an airbase on Aldabra in the Seychelles. With conservationists sure to object to any such move, the island of Assumption, with its all-weather airstrip, may serve as an alternative.

The US continues to expand its large air and naval ship and submarine base on Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory. Diego Garcia is an important base for the US military and naval units stationed in Oman where an intelligence base exists on the island of Masirah, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. The US presence in the Persian Gulf and Diego Garcia is justified by citing the “threat from Iran.”

To the east, the United States is seeking to establish a military aircraft and drone base on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory in the Indian Ocean. The base would supplement a proposed US naval base as HMAS Stirling in Perth, which would provide support for an entire US aircraft carrier battle group and a US Marine and air base in Darwin in the Northern Territory that would initially host 2500 US personnel. The 600 Cocos Islanders fear they will suffer the same fate as the 2000 Chagossian inhabitants of Diego Garcia and the Outer Chagos islands of Peros Banhos and the Salomon Islands -- 200 miles away from Diego Garcia -- who were forcibly removed from the island between 1967 and 1973 to make way for the American base. The Chagossians now live in squalid conditions in Mauritius. The Cocos Islanders justifiably fear they will meet a similar fate and be ordered off their islands to be consigned to the same sort of poverty, which has befallen many of Australia’s Aborigines.

And, after a costly war in terms of blood and treasure in Southeast Asia, the United States is making plans to reestablish naval, air, and intelligence bases in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand, to supplement its naval anchorage in Singapore and military base use rights in the Philippines, Palau, and Brunei. The target for the US buildup is China and ultimate control over the oil and natural gas resources of the South China Sea.

America’s security interests from east Africa through the Indian Ocean and into the South China Sea are not based on any security threats, but to preserve America’s leading modern characteristic: Financial greed. And America has, since the end of World War II, used its military to sustain its greed.
