So, it would still be legal for Dr Manoo to film his "private act" and "private parts".

It would be legal to observe, as long as Dr Manoo gives permission.

It would be legal to distribute, as long as Dr Manoo gives permission.

Anonymous said...

So, if I take a woman to a hotel room, I need the woman's permission to look at her private parts, because observing a person's private parts in private is an offence without the person's permission.

Anonymous said...

So, just as an example, if I have photos of James Michel having sex with Mathilda Twomey at State House, I will be committing a offence and will get sent to prison for 20 years.

Anonymous said...

Does it also mean exchanging nude photos (sex acts or not) can get you sent to prison for 20 years ?

Whose nude photos are they trying to protect ?

Anonymous said...

Well the law is strange, it protects the person conducting the lewd act, not minors, or the public from viewing the stuff.

This is almost like wearing ones underwear as a hat and a hat as an underwear.

Are public porno stars like Dr. Manoo a protected class?

I would think not.

People like that need to be exposed, for whatever reason the person that loaded this stuff exposed them.

The best rule is do not film your stuff if you do not want it to be seen.

Usually people in porno know the public will see the stuff and are ok with that.

The law although under Penal Code, has no mens rea, (state of mind and intent element), so I fail to see how it can be a criminal legislation. Strange stuff at the AG office.

Computers do not commit crimes, people use computers to commit crimes, but you need to have a crime to charge a person with 20 years in jail.

Definately an item for human rights organizations to deal with and handle.

does it meant that those who film pornography will be jailed for 20 yrs.
In my opinions pedophile and the rich has always got away with murder ."protected now by ridiculous laws"
Again I feel that the perpetrators will be protected,, it appears that nothing has changed since 1960.
if it was not so sad,, it would be laughable.

Anonymous said...

If someone's privacy is violated, then they have a civil case.

PL are using Penal Code to protect a special class that belongs to their political party: perverts.

Anonymous said...

What Pp is saying is that Pornography and obscenity practice by Parti LEPEP members(define by the Butcher as Renaissance Morale)is totally legal and any one who dares criticing PP porno -politics would be sanctioned and jailed up to 20 years but if you butchered innocent Seychellois, robbed Seychellois wealth in millions, sell out their patrinomy illegally to foreigners etc... you get away from your crimes and even if in case you a minister you are promoted.

Another demonstration of Pp's Kangaroo justice.
Note that the amendment was dictated a week earlier by the Butcher on SBC.

The country needs a Memo of Understanding between Faure and Michel. It is quite clear that they are very bad at playing happy families. If Michel can't get rid of Faure, then Faure should get rid of Michel. It has been done before, as in 1977. Either way, the farce has to end.

Anonymous said...

There has never been a foreign judge who has not left the employment of Parti Lepep a rich man. This one will be no exception. If he is an exception, then he is too stupid to be a judge.

Anonymous said...

Pp needs unqualified,Sir lanken,African to operate its Kangaroo justice system and with those illegaly foreigne judges Pp can be sure that they will execute PP orders not the constittuiont and rule of laws.

When they left as the bolloger put it,they left as multi-millionaire or even gifted our passport in order that they can benefit from gratuities, pension for life.

The law did not stop James michel secretly training how to kill people and to overthrow the government. This bad law will not stop photos of Parti Lepep leaders in disgusting acts coming out.

Anonymous said...

They have left loop holes, as you would expect with bad laws. We can still talk about these people's disgusting actions, even in graphic terms. We can draw them. We can get actors to re-enact wearing ministers' masks, because it is not an offence if permission to film is given. Boom time for artists.

Anonymous said...

Scully and Quinn are struggling to maintain the integrity of the NDEA in the face of allegations of heavy-handed tactics against the public and admissions of corrupt officials within its ranks.

Meanwhile, Parti Lepep is losing the war on drugs. We all know why.

Anonymous said...

Presumbably the new law does not apply to all the recordings made before the new law was passed.

Anonymous said...

Pp and NDEA is losing the fight against drug becuase their strategy consist of chasing herb users who are not those committing crimes for i can tell PP that most herb smokers i know on Praslin are either business owners or people working hard ,though i must recognize that a handful of them are involved in herbs selling to make a living after PP bankrutpoed the country and replace Seychellois manpower by cheap foreign workers thus making Seychellois unemployed and poorer.

The drug problem the country is facing has to do with Hard Drug dealers the same the Butcher told us in 2008 that he knows them all and will deal with them.To date they still at large expending their illicit business. Moreover, repression alone as have been proven by countries with long Drug problems ,but also experience such as Mexico,USA,Colombia that repression alone do not reduce or deter Hard Drug dealers, more must accompany repression such as Legalizing Herbs which also allow a government to better control its use etc...education,prevention,family responsibility to that providing after school activities for youth such as sport activities etc..

Reply-

New internet censorship laws-

No law can apply to past acts prior to the law being passed. This is called prohibition from Ex Post Facto legislation.

It is provided for in the constitution of Seychelles and is standard constitutional law.

Absolute defence if a charge is brought forward with a past posting.

Reply on NDEA-

On NDEA, I am perplexed at how they value heroin, seized in Kenya and inflated in value by them to make a case look like a big break through. The Irish are obviously trying to look good, without delivering the real results.

I notice that Today, covers every piece of rubbish the NDEA puts out there, without a question. I can only wonder why, what is the excuse this time?

Scully a sergeant in the Irish Army says that there are only 4 gangs operating drug operations in Seychelles. Fair enough, but that does not explain the 300-400 people in jail for drug related offences.Which gang did they belong to.

Finally, Scully is dishonest and scarce with critical information on his officers on NDEA, that are suspended or charged with a crime.

These people are criminals. Their names need to be made public so the public can protect themselves.

Scully obviously takes us for fools, and James Michel allows it.

We are not fools. We want the names and pictures of the officers charged.

The problem is as our own citizen can not find a dissent job on which the can live on,and as unemployment keeps sky-rocketing PP continue to import cheap labor to help accentuate the problem instead of providing Seychellois with jobs at a reasonable salary.Like, all foreign owed businesses ,foreign cheap workers help in aggravating the problem of Financial leakage which help destroy our economy and PP illiterates just do not get things right.

Sending Seychellois to thialand for whatever reason would allow them to see how bakcward we still are in regard to the lots of products our country could product from Tuna apart from Canning only.It would give them to see how retarded we are in this indsutry and how much money we lost becuase we donot produce any other products possible with Tuna than Canning which is a lost of foreign exchange for our country.

Is the new law then an admission that the 2 women who have been arrested for distributing Manoo's porn video recording did not break any law (apart from theft of Manoo's porn property possibly) because there was no law to break ?

We can still circulate the recordings of these Parti Lepep degenerates, provided they were made before August 2012.

From now on, they can record their sexual depravities, watch them over and over again, circulate them among like-minded Parti Lepep deviants, knowing there is a law to stop their moral turpitude being exposed to the public.

Traitor David Pierre voted with Parti Lepep. Is he scared being exposed ? What has he got to hide ?

En Nouvo Sesel, indeed ! I'm getting off.

We now need a new Drug Enforcement Agency to keep an eye on NDEA.

It is hard to think that the NDEA was so heavily compromised (we suspected that after the Bel Ombre fiasco when the NDEA arrived after the drug dealers offloading their drugs had fled in speed boats), without the NDEA knowing until the drug arrests in Kenya.

Now Michel is overdoing it. He avoided Africa for years. It was pointed out to him that he was avoiding Africans while keen to fly to Arabia or Europe on the slightest pretext. So, Michel is now in Mozambique to show he has nothing against the mazembiks. Will he appoint more mazembiks as ministers ? Maybe we should not push our luck. We will still see pictures of 3 white men from Seychelles meeting 3 black Somalis in Addis Ababa to discuss piracy, however grotesque that must look to their African counterparts.

Anonymous said...

I think TODAY got it wrong about it being illegal snapping pictures of bare breasted ladies on the beach. The new law applies only in places where personal privacy is expected.

Anonymous said...

Here is Ramkalawan once again tearing strips off Michel, in a way that no one else can.

And what about Seychelles’ problems

The Bible says that we must remove the log in our eyes before we attempt to spot the speck in the neighbour’s eyes. In many ways most of us see James Michel doing just that in relation to the discussions taking place between the two Malagasy leaders.

In the first place, here we have a president who took part in a coup d’etat to overthrow a legitimate government in an act of treason. This is exactly what Andraojoelina did to Ravalomanana.

We wonder what he might be saying to them in private? Would he be congratulating Mr. Andraojoelina for a successful coup d’etat? Would he be saying to Ravalomanana to behave like Mancham and that he could negotiate a high profile job as a roving Ambassador with all the perks? We can already see the contradictions.

But let us move a little further. James Michel is trying to help resolve the internal affairs of Madagascar and reconcile the
parties in order to move towards free and fair elections. According to him, the people of Madagascar have suffered for too long and they need a lasting solution. The words are laudable, just like any positive set of words. But how do these words match with James Michel’s own record?

How can Michel be talking about democracy and fairness in Madagascar when Seychelles itself is full of the opposite? This country is still divided along political lines because James Michel puts political consideration first. He believes he can do
whatever he wants, acting as if the country belongs to him and his party. He gives land and housing to whoever he wants, victimises his opponents and their children, his supporters get the best opportunities while his opponents have to triple their efforts in order to achieve whatever they aim for. Doesn’t that sound like what Ravalomanana is fighting against?

The electoral system in the country is going through a reform process because it is not a good one. Yet, his party is the one trying to put obstacles in the process, with the same Michel having refused so far to attend even a single meeting of the Electoral Reform Forum. How hypocritical of Mr. Michel then, wanting to get those people to sit around a table when he always refuses to sit where his opponents are gathered. What can he therefore tell those leaders that will point to the way forward? Theory only?

The Seychellois are still hurting from the many abuses of power that have taken place since the coup d’etat. All the church leaders talk about the necessity for a healing process in order for the country to receive blessings and dissipate the black cloud our country is covered under. Yet Michel believes firmly that the 5th June, the day of the coup d’etat, the day that brought political bloodshed and division, must be observed as a sacred day in our history. Again the question that we ask is what has he got to say to those leaders on a healing process to restore Malagasy unity?

Mr. Ravalomanana is being investigated by the International Court of Justice for crimes against humanity in the shooting of innocent civilians by his personal guard. If indicted, he will have to be brought to the Hague for trial. I wonder what Mr. Michel can say on the issue, given that under his regime so many innocent people have been murdered, detained without trial, sent into exile and disappeared? Can he truly talk about these issues when the log in his eyes is so huge? We must not forget that he sits comfortably next to the indicted president of Sudan, Al Bashir.

Some people will go out of their way for recognition and honour. Unfortunately by trying to place Madagascar on his plate, Michel is literally trying to chew on too much. There are so many issues to resolve in our country that we just cannot believe Mr. Michel can be sincere when trying to address the Malagasy issue. Can we please tackle our own log, Sir?

Good article by Mr. Ramkalawan.

Michel can start tackling our own log by: 1. attend the reform process if it is to be a serious one;2. speak to his opponents; 3. end June 5th and June 18th as true statesman would, and hence, he will earn the respect of even his opponents.

As long as Michel fakes an opposition, fakes statesmanship, fakes the reality of Seychelles failed democracy, he will have the log stuck in his eye for everyone to see.

As long as Parti Lepep is in power, this country's institutions will be prone to corruption. We now know that this simple truth applies to the newly set up NDEA. Scully and Niall will struggle to convince this nation that the problem is limited to a few rotten apples. They will struggle to convince us that they are the right people to lead the NDEA, as this country's history is full of cases of foreigners who arrived practically penniless but went on to get rich by exploiting the corruption opportunities that Parti Lepep affords them.

It will take a lot more than what we saw this week to convince this sceptical nation that these two Irishmen are notable exceptions, as they fail to rein in the drug barons who they tell us are well known to them and presumably the Parti Lepep. Perhaps the Irishmen's work is shackled by political considerations. It is hard to believe that if these drug barons were not government supporters they would be allowed to operate with impunity. The high profile drug busts against dispensable petty dealers are just publicity stunts intended to con us into thinking the government takes the drug menace seriously when it clearly does not. When this government wants to act, getting evidence or catching the criminals red handed is the least of their worries. So we can only conclude that these known drug barons are pillars of Parti Lepep and they are protected by the state's corrupted institutions. And Scully and Niall might well be thinking that it is more than their job's worth to move against the drug barons without political support. They have been around long enough to know that this country is not Ireland. Without political support from State House, they cannot rely on the Attorney General's office, the Police, the Supreme Court and of course the disgraced Court of Appeal to lock up the evil drug barons and throw away the key.

As usual, the solution to the problems that ravage this country is staring us in the face, whether economic, politics, crime and moral decadence. We need to get rid of the Parti Lepep -- the source of all evils that plague Seychelles. Many of us have realised this. But alas far too many of our countrymen and countrywomen just do not care about the direction the country has taken under Parti Lepep.

Anonymous said...

South African prezzie Jacob Zuma is the latest to be hit hard by the Parti Lepep curse. Days after his misjudgment of involving Michel in SADC's fruitless efforts to solve Madagascar's political crisis, Zuma is under pressure at home after South African police shoot dead 34 demonstrating miners. He had to hotfoot it from SADC's meeting in Maputo to deal with the political crisis at home. Mchel's and his fellow coup plotters shot dead innocent people during the 5th June coup d'état. His police were caught trying to gas peaceful protesters on their way home. Perhaps Zuma will keep up with Seychelles politics, so that he can act with authority in regional crises. His decision to rope him Michel to lecture Malagasy leaders on good governance and constitutional changes of government was the height of hypocrisy, although ignorance was likely to be the reason. SADC has only moral pressure to apply on Madagascar. Using Michel for that was a catastrophe. Mauritius' Ramgoolam might have been a better choice as his hands are not bloodied by a bloody coup d'état.

Anonymous said...

SADC could kick out of Maputo the African-hating Michel and send him home to sort out his own political and constitutional problems, so that he does not disgrace SADC's work to bring constitutional government to Madagascar and Zimbabwe -- and Seychelles once they get round to our plight.

Anonymous said...

In Maputo, Mozambique, Seychelles is being represented by James Michel, Jean Paul Adam and Claude Morel. Perhaps SADC should give Madagascar a break and put Majority Rule and Equal Opportunities in Seychelles on the agenda and discuss Michel's preference for white or light-skinned people around him while Seychelles is essentially a country of black people. It could have been worse. He could have had turncoat St Ange to tag along on the pretext that he is looking for tourists in Mozambique. He has been looking in more unlikely places. Or has he had enough of turncoats already with so many of them around him now and Pierre failing to get opposition supporters to support PDM ?

I am surprised that Ramkalawan has not seen the weakness of his stub-born perspective on life, as he approaches 60 and has not delivered what he said he would, with that approach all these years.

The return of Christ can take place tomorrow, and Ramkalawan would not know it, being so stuffed in stubbornness. Look what's happening around him everyday?

Anyways, good effort on the article. Keep it up every week, and you can post it as a comment on the most popular blog in Seychelles , on Seychelles around the world. If you want to add pictures, send us a copy and we can load it.

Reply to "Gill grow up"-

You say Ramkalawan has guts due I suppose, from this little article you posted.

Well, we have been writing hard hitting articles for over 10 years, since Ramkalawan went to sleep after Oct.3, incident.

On that day, he took a beating on the head by some PMU marimba that weighed 380 pounds after JF grabbed his nuts in front of her. Outside, his supporters took tear gas and rubber bullets for the fiasco.

In no time, Ramkalawan, Jean Francois Ferrari, Roger Mancienne, took a settlement from SPPF for what: Scr. 180,000 each more or less.

Then the articles died out, the energy faded, and the human rights complaints were buried with the settlement money Ramkalawan took.

If fighting politics is about making money, you and Ramkalawan are better off trying to run a take away in a good location.

Soon after the dubious shameful settlement, we all recall well and good, Mr. Ramkalawan, your saviour, practically licking Michel's ears in district meetings, in St. Louis and other places. At times we could hardly tell the difference between Ramkalawan actions and Mancham's.

Later we could, Mancham would drive thru the front gates of State House with security since he was the First President, and Ramkalawan would hop in a rent a car, and drive thru the back gates of State House after 5.00, since he was the Leader of Opposition.

Soon after, what did we see, when the People of Seychelles went under IMF suffering: 1. 38% salary increase by MNA, sought by Ramkalawan, and yes, 2. 70% Pension for Life.

Today, your saviour gets Scr. 38,000.00 per month to do nothing. He got what he wanted, a pension for life, now what more does he want, to create more division in the opposition, using the likes of you, who cannot even use his name to attack someone, like a worm would, to make more money off the plight of the people of Seychelles?

The difference with Ramkalawan with Mancham is also this: Mancham took his rightful pension and left politics, Ramkalawan took his not rightful pension and stays in politics, who are you kidding?

People of Seychelles every day, are learning to recognize the smell of a stinking sell out, because they are figuring out that these sell outs, prevent change in the country and prevent SPPFPL from implementing real democracy promised 18 years ago.

Seychelles Freedom Party (SFP) has not been started in error, it is purposeful. We will not tolerate or accept opposition sell outs no matter what shape form political colour. That includes every single Independent sell out that surfaces to add more confusion to the landscape.

For us, we see no difference between SNP PDM or NDP. You have all fallen to your knees for SPPF PL funding. When you do, you cross a Rubicon of eternal failure.

Therefore, you are not a capable opponent to the SPPFPL and surely not trustworthy, because you will change your stance as the SPPFPL pay you to do so.

Next week we expect a real nice article, send it to us, we will not edit, and we will add pictures, because we are not happy with 10,000 viewers a week.

I heard you were having trouble getting 100 a week on your blog, whatever it is called.

That should be a message that says, while you stand in stub born posture, your boots are no longer on your feet.

You should have indetified the different in the way SFP does politcs and should have understand by now that domocrates are open-minded ready to criticize when necessary as support what is rights when necessary. It is called being responsible and accountable.

Reply to Cry Baby SNP falliing Chips-

Mr. Mancham for whatever faults he has, he has many, he has made many mistakes,.... he was Seychelles first President. The Constitution recognizes this. It is not a battle worth losing sleep over.

Additionally, he was deposed, left with nothing, and prevented from coming home for 16 years.

During that time, Mr. Ramkalawan was a paid State House Informant, and he answered to Mr. Ogilvy Berlouis, the Minister of Defence, back then.

So yes, even if Mr. Mancham and I do not agree on many things, we do agree on one thing at least, he is entitled to a reasonable pension, personally.

Yes, Mr. Ramkalawan is not entitled to any pension, but he scammed this in a behind the door deal with SPPF PL , James Michel, the same guy he wrote that little cute article about that you posted, but carefully omitted mention of the call of the "Interfaith Leaders" to end June 5th, end June 18th, and make Independence 29th June, our National-Liberation Day to let Seychellois begin to heal as a people. Why? because a people, cannot liberate itself from its own self. It is not possible, even if your brother was a lackey,of colonialists, as FAR asserts of Mancham, he was and is still a Seychellois, so their was no LIBERATION on June 5th.

Thank you for your rebuttal on such an important topic.

SADC has only itself to blame for its failure on Madagascar. It is not a serious organisation. It is shocking to hear SADC say that Member states continue to adhere to the principles governing democratic elections by holding regular elections such as elections in Seychelles.

Those fraudulent and boycotted elections ? Come on SADC get real.

These elections shamed SADC. SADC have no moral authority to lecture Malagasy leaders. Rajoelina is entitled to ignore the SADC hypocrites.

Anonymous said...

Most SADC countries are rule by depots thus such comments on Election should be a surprise.

Dictators in the 21st century do not want to be called Dictators so they boister on democracy ,call themselves democrates to gain legitimacy.

Dictators do hold regular fake elections to give their rule the aura of legitimacy .
REal Democractic election PP do not elect dictators or Presidents-for-life.Democratic elections are INCLUSIVE:Citizens and voters must be large enough to include a large portion of the population.DEmocratic elections are DEFINITIVE:They determine the leadership of government.Subject to the laws and constitution of the country, popularly elected representatives hold reins of power. They are simply figureheads or symbolic keaders.
Lastly,Democratic elections are not limited to selective candidates.Voters can also be asked to decide policy issues through referendums and initiatives that are place on the balots.

Democracy pp demands an unvarying respect of human rights of all.It requires indepedent of judiciary.Without an honest acceptance of rules of law, what should be dmocracy generate into something like law of the jungle.Transparency and accountability etc... Monkeys.

We have to rely on Facebook and Google to learn that Michel has gone on a state visit to Sri Lanka, having left SADC meeting in Maputo on Sunday.

Why the big secret ? Is Michel afraid he will be overthrown by Rene, Faure or whoever in Parti Lepep if he lets us know about his foreign jaunts in advance.

TODAY IN SEYCHELLES front page would have been different this morning if Michel had announced his foreign jaunt in advance.

Ram can write on the subject, and David Pierre can write on it.

Everyone can write on it.

The removal of June 5th, June 18th as public holidays concerns everyone, that considers themselves Seychellois, even sell outs!

One does not have to be a leader of opposition to be effective.

In fact, we have a strong case that shows Leader of Opposition can be the most ineffective position to hold in Seychelles under SPPF PL, because they systematically try to buy the opposition to retain control.

When they do, they start with the "leader" whether he may be there by hook or by crook, or circumstance of history.

St Ange drops a massive clanger and what's new. Is Skoll a Tretout in a skirt ?

"It is important that we work together to better showcase this colonial era. " Quote from Alain St Ange to new British High Commissioner to Parti Lepep. Takes your breath away. Sometimes, I am convinced that the Michel government and its ministers have no idea what they are talking about. They should keep their mouths shut, rather than open them to pollute the air.

After all the violence that Karl St Ange and Rene and Michel etc inflicted on Seychelles to get rid of the British and what our history books tell us was their stooge (Mancham), now opportunistic Alain St Ange wants to showcase the colonial era. Or maybe he means the neo-colonial era that we are going through. But then shouldn't he be rapping to Khalifa's envoy about that ?

As for the new British diplo, she has yet to get round to meet the half of the population that do not support Parti Lepep. Even David Pierre who gets fewer votes than an independent candidate has received a visit, because he is seen by all as part of the Parti Lepep government and a meeting with him is not seen by the British diplo as likely to annoy the Parti Lepep government. To date, she has acted as if she is the UK representative to Parti Lepep and turned out in party colours for her first visit to State House to meet the friend of Rafael Correa, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. Sometimes it is hard to sympathise with the Brits when Latin America's two-bit honchos square up to them. Didn't Rene go to Havanna to remind us that in his student days in London he shouted "Castro Si, USA No" ? Time for British diplomats who were not born then to hit the diplomatic handbook to fill the gaps in their ignorance.

What is Alain St Ange doing talking about direct flights between UK and Seychelles with British diplomats ? Does he not know that the British Foreign Office does not have planes o carry tourists, not even the British Government ? Give me strength ! British Airways was flogged off years ago by Margaret Thatcher. Parti Lepep must sort out the tourism industry first, before commercial airlines will find it profitable to fly directly between Seychelles and European capitals. Virgin Atlantic Airways and British Airways fly between London and Mauritius because it is commercially profitable to do so, not because British diplos have ordered them to do so. The British government can't even stop wanted man Australian Julian Assange from getting on the Ecuador embassy balcony in London to stick two fingers up at Obama and Cameron, with British police within grabbing distance but helpless.

Time for Lindsay Skoll to show us that she is not just the UK diplomat to Parti Lepep. She probably does not know about Michel Tretout and she certainly does not want to be known as the British equivalent of that disgraceful French ambassador of sorts.

Thick Michel sneaks off to talk about a tapestry

So, Michel wants to sneak out of the country like a thief in the dead of the night to go roaming in Sri Lanka, assuming he did return after the SADC meeting in Maputo. Is it Khalifa again who is providing a private jet so that he can arrive in style in Colombo ? Or is he picking up the private jet on the compulsory stop-over in Abu Dhabi ?

Does he know what TAPESTRY means or is he going to embarrass the Seychellois people with long words that he does not know what they mean in another of his schoolboy-level speeches abroad, stumbling over every word of more than two syllables ?

Zuma scarpers off, now Michel and Tanzania to lecture Madagascar on democracy

After his vain attempts at trying to resolve the political situation in Madagascar and not being too fussy about which dictator he roped in for help, Jacob Zuma has scarpered off to keep his police under control and handed over the job to the president of Tanzania -- the very country that used its troops to snuff out democracy in Seychelles. Now he wants to bring democracy to Madagascar ? God, give me strength. Rajoelina must be feeling perfectly entitled to ignore these busy bodies and their nauseating double standards.

Reply to: "Get real on Pensions"-

It is not that the man was president for 11 months, it is that he was deposed for 16 years, that warrants the pension. It was a settlement of things that cannot be justified for a person and a people.

In the case of Mr. Ramkalawan, he did nothing for us, nothing, for all these years, and secretly voted a pension that was placed in the emoluments bill and slid in without debate.

The only reason why some people know about it, is because we exposed it, "get real".

Failing our assertiveness, the World would have never known about the pension for Mr. Ramkalawan and the opposition SNP in the National Assembly.

What kind of opposition goes and looks for a pension, and nothing for the people?

SNP. You did it, we recorded it, and we keep tabs on it.

All it means is Mr. Ramkalawan, can be no better then Mr. Mancham after all the noise he made , he went silent, like a little dove, passing for chicken in a Sunday BBQ.

Both look pretty pitiful defending their pensions, though one has a justification for it, even though he really did not need the money, since he is a multi millionaire hundreds of times over from selling his book, as he told me.

To make you happy, we can ask Mancham to give back the money as well. I will start the call:

"Jim, give back the money, so Wavel will give back the money. The people are suffering."

There.

I hope you are happy. I am.

Who was seated on Michel's right in Maputo ? Don't look to state-owned Nation for the answer.

Seychelles Nation sets off the guessing game, with a carefully cropped photo of Michel at the SADC meeting in Maputo.

Which unsavoury African leader was placed on the right of James Michel that obedient Seychelles Nation felt duty-bound to remove from the photo ? Nation gives the impression that Michel was placed at the end of the table like a naughty dictator.

It can't AGAIN be Sudan's Omar Al-bashir, indicted for war crimes by the ICC. That would be geographically impossible as Sudan is in north Africa, not southern.

Could it be old comrade Robert Mugabe who longer fits in Michel's attempts to re-invent himself as a serious leader ?

Or was it SADC's failure to find a white African to sit next to Michel (and make the photo look nice for our compatriots in the less enlightened Parti Lepep bastions) that prompted Seychelles Nation to take drastic action with their pair of scissors ?

With friends like Seychelles Nation, Parti Lepep does not need enemies, including new enemies like Ramadoss.

Let's talk about cross the floor a little.

Volcere financed to run St. Louis elections , he got 69 votes for Ramadoss to prevent Ramkalawan from winning that seat when he was still real opposition.

Ramkalawan paid informant to Ogilvy Berlouis while many Seychellois sat in jail at Chateau Vallon. When did he cross the floor, when did he cross back?

Boulle- Saudi lawyer for PLantation deal, yes or no? How many transactions of land has he done for SPPF and foreigners? 1 or 1,000 or more, or less? As a public figure, he should disclose, before he speaks about Seychelles patrimony once more.

Pierre, how much was he paid to cross to PDM and run an apparently fake opposition? I heard scr. 15Million, can that be true??????

Mancham, works for Michel today, is it not? I believe it is true. What floor has he crossed? What floor did Mancham cross when he came back to work with Rene?

Bernard Georges, his boss is higher then the FIU according to him. What floor does he cross to get to his boss?

Derjacuqes, lawyer for Savy brothers is it not? What floor does he cross to get to Savy Brothers?

Brain Julie, from one party state national assembly, then a SNP nominated member to replace Pierre, what floor was crossed?

You can cross the floor day and night, if you like. The question I pose is what are you doing for the people of Seychelles? Then balance that with what you are doing for your pockets.

Then you will see who you are, where you stand.

We see you already.

Here is the AUTHORITY on this issue.

CROSS THE FLOOR in Seychelles politics is what happened when Christopher Gill told the National Assembly on 14th October 1997 that he was crossing the floor to SPPF.

Gill said he was crossing the floor.

The next day, Seychelles Nation officially announced that "GILL CROSSES THE FLOOR TO SPPF".

He asked SPPF for permission to cross the floor to them.

He took 20 minutes to explain his action. Never once did he mention that his life was in danger from his uncle, who was leader of the opposition, aided and abetted by Rene.

He said, "I declare that I want a better life for all Seychellois. And if this is what the SPPF government is realising, and if this what the SPPF party is doing, then my heart is with them. I ask them for permission to cross the floor." He added that there was a "lack of seriousness" within the Democratic Party.

The then speaker of the National Assembly, Francis McGregor said that "something exceptional had happened to one of our honourable members" and that this "had never happened before in our Assembly".

McGregor gave Gill special dispensation to make his "cross the floor speech" because the standing orders had no provision to deal with such a historic event which gave SPPF all 25 of the elected members. Nothing has really changed, then.

After this historic event, Gill never returned to the Assembly after future elections. He has been in the political wilderness ever since.

I wonder how much did "GILL CROSSES THE FLOOR TO SPPF" has help toward the many problems that SPPF/PL has created during their reign as leader of the Seychelles government.

CHIMP :) :) :)

We can only guess. Perhaps there would have been no James Michel without that historic event.

As an authority on the cross the floor subject;
Who is worse David Pierre or Christopher Gill?

Anonymous said...

Reply to last question

Ramkalawan and volcere are as bad as Pierre.

The evidence is everywhere.

sell outs fighting for Pl money and arab hand outs.

I asked about Gill and Pierre
Which is worse?

Anonymous said...

Correction:

Who was worse;
Gill or Pierre?

Anonymous said...

Are you talking about Peter Gill ?

Anonymous said...

You red devils are full of it. So what if Gill was under pressure and that his life was at risk, he had no where to go because he was among a bunch of traitors. So what if he crosses to the traitors big boss.
he left after that didn't he? and he is now back to rectify the wrong and to educate the people about the traitors who are drowning us in debt. Anyhow I cannot speak for him but it does not take a genius to figure out what happened.
Gill was in danger he did what he has to do to save his life and to save the struggle for another time.
He was the victim among a pack of wolves who was and still are sinking Seychelles into debt, depriving the people of what should be theirs, while they holiday and shop overseas, while they take refuge in overseas hospital, while they build oversize houses and travel in big cars and first class, with best looking prostitutes, drink the finest beverage while you stupid red devils fools have to break each others premises, plant drugs to survive. The victoria hospital is a death trap, why do you think your corrupted government travel overseas when they are sick.

Let Gill clean out you bloody mess and chaos that you fools has done by giving another five.

The problems in this country is not about Gill crossing the floor is about this corrupted government selling out our country and our children's future. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU BECOME PRISONERS IN YOUR OWN HOME LAND. FENCES ARE BEING BUILD ALREADY TO KEEP US AWAY, GO AND GET USEFUL AND BURN THOSE FENCES DOWN BECAUSE SOON ALL YOU WILL SEE IS MOUNTAINS AND FENCE, FORGET ABOUT THE OCEAN SCENERY IT WILL ALL SOON BELONG TO ARABS. SO GET YOU FINGER OUT OF YOUR STINKY BUTT AND DO SOMETHING USEFUL LIKE THE PEOPLE AT SFP ARE DOING.

I'll gladly tell you who is worse, and that is you, with all your stupid questions that does not make any sense. Worse in this rotten hole we are living it, that dark black hole we used to call paradise.

Worse is some of the people who are eating left overs from restaurant bins.

Worse is this corrupted government who is selling drugs to the nation.

Worse is idiot like yourself who cannot see the fake opposition and the corrupted Government for what it is, selling the soil you are standing on.

Worse however is still to come when you will have to feed your family with kaka kamo!

THAT IS WORSE MY FRIEND. NOW GO AND DO YOU OWN HOME WORK ON '''WORSE'''THERE IS PLENTY IN THIS SHIT HOLE WE LIVE IN! Voila!

Anonymous said...

May I add that worse is yet to come.

The people of Seychelles cannot afford to trust PL and all those fake opposition Party who has been mopping around for so many years and done nothing good for the country and its people! NOW, THIS IS WHAT I CALL WORSE!
David Pierre is not only a woman basher he is also an arrogant bastered who force himself on women who denied him.

PL and all fake opposition ARE NOT THE PEOPLE’S PEOPLE; they are for themselves AND THEIR OWN POCKETS! David has often said that he doesn’t care about the people just for as long as his account is being credited.

This corrupted system is not operating effectively, BECAUSE IT IS WEAK AND GETTING WEAKER! You cannot keep on collecting if you are not producing. Even an idiot knows that.

We need to get all Seselwa business people in this country and seselwa overseas, to share their views in a restructuring civil manner discussion starting by offering some thoughts and ideas on how we can engender ways about our economic future.
It is unfortunate and sad that nothing can ever happen for as long as we have a corrupted Government, and idiots who only want to speak about crossing the floor. HOW SAD!

Anonymous said...

Today is a new day. We talked about crossing the floor a lot yesterday. Let's go through one day without asking Gill to explain his crossing the floor. There's always tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Those goons asking Chris about crossing the floor are the same who crossed the floor thousands of times to not ask PP to change but negociate their astrnomic salary.bonuses at State House with the Butcher.

It is time to start thinking about the transition from dictatorship to democracy ,for only democracy can get the people to particiapte fully in the development of the country.

It is time to think of how we going to turn BUSHCRAFT to STATECRAFT,we cann to wait ofr the fall of Pp to do that:th time is now in order that we are prepare for the aftermath of Pp dictatorship. The better way to achieve that is to have UNITY betwwen politcal parties and the active aprticipation of the people.

Time for Change Pp.Degage Pp!

A man who is not afraid of standing alone is a Hero. So yes Gill is a Hero!, you PL and Pty Ltd can very much say what you want; you can swear and call us names. It doesn’t matter we will still stand firmly in what we believe, and if you care about your country you will stand with SFP. Sesel pu arab , tomorrow don’t complain about all the good jobs going to Indians and Arabs.

I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE THE 'YOU CROSSED THE FLOOR' IS NOT GOING TO SLOW SFP DOWN. SO I SUGGEST YOU GO BACK TO YOUR CAMP, DO SOME BRAINSTORMING AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING AGAINST GILL THAT IS WORST THAN HIGH TREASON. I REALLY DO NOT THINK HE HAS EVER DONE ANYTHING THAT WILL SURPASS THE SPUP/SPPF/PL/? HEIST OF JUNE5TH1977, THE SELLING OF OUR PATRIMONY ETC...

"SO I SUGGEST YOU GO BACK TO YOUR CAMP, DO SOME BRAINSTORMING AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING AGAINST GILL THAT IS WORST THAN HIGH TREASON"

Well said CHIMP!

Yes Gill committed high treason and there is nothing that we can come up with that is worse than that!
The serpent did it to the almighty
Judas did it to Jesus
Gill did it to the Democratic Party, to his constituents, to his uncle and to politics!
He is Judas and the serpent all in one!

Thankl you for opening our eyes you moron!

You should now change your name from MICROBKAKA and CHIMP to MORON!

Forever insulting one another is not going to sort out our country's problems.

Personally I will rather hold the hand of the man they call chimp and share a meal from our own hard working cash, than partying with hypocrites who spend blood stained money to buy your attention, affection and votes.

If you people knows what's best for this country, you will stand by SFP and help save your country, or at least the little that's left.

Pissedoff learnt to swear on SFP blog. His mentors were ti Johnny-le-Gay-Lera-Lassose a.k.a. Jean Paul Isaac and Jeanne D'Arc a.k.a. Christopher Gill commonly known as Totof in political circles.
The above mentioned swears at anybody you disagrees with them.
For this Pissedoff tells them to bez al liki zot manman and SUE ME bann fes zot manman!

As for politics; Pissedoff came with his own brand which is too hot for SFP to handle!

Pissdoff if you have new brand, stop coming with the same bullshit all the time, your new brand sound like something for BIYOKO because he can not read.
Pissdoff your swearing, fustration, insulting and paraniod, show me you are a guilty corrupt politician.not doing their jobs as politicians just get fat with out sweating letting a country like Seychelles with 85,000 peoples to suffer and continue pay debt, our land been sold like fish on the market, our passports, some co like Air Sey bankrupt to much to continue.Pissdoff if our population was half million?any way in the near future Pp will make it arrived half a million if regime dont with those foreigners they are continuing to bring on our shores selling them land and our passports.
