The real question is this. Did Gappy have the right to accept SFP party registration papers ? I can see people lining up to challenge SFP status as a political party.

Yes it is illegal. Why? becuase it does respect the norm of the process. This is the first faux pas,we can already ask if changing faces will change the way Pp has been abusing the commission so far.

To the real question.
Gappy,Michel,Lafortune and other cronies said we are in a democracy,.Thus i guess having politcal parties is a norm in democracy?

It is to be noted that a GIBBS benefits almost exclsuively from all Govt contracts.

Well we do not know what Gappy is doing.

We were called in and given an appointment, so we showed up with our documents.

A new commission constituted could ratify a decision of Gappy.

The real issue is whether the commission has any rules or regulations in place for it to act on anything.

That is the issue.

We know GIBBS lives off government contracts. Has Lafortune declared his assets to his wife Anne La fortune at the Central Bank?

Failing to have dialogue in the country, will lead to everything being challenged before courts of Seychelles, and this will dismantle the structures and institutions of State and send investors packing.

Just look at the damage Eden Island has gone under the gun over the past year.

Democracy is not the rule of the majority, PL, it is the integration of the minority and tolerance of all views, and a seat for all parties.

But you communists do not understand that. That is why Seychelles gets Gold medals in sports, that is inclusive, and gets an "F" for the economy and running the country under you Communists.

Then the full commission can ratify the election dates. SFP has made a mountain out of a molehill, as usual.

Anonymous said...

Yes you are very right. Commission must act in full present of all member but unfortunately this is Seychelles "Unique by a thousand miles" and who decide what no one knows.

Anonymous said...

There is no mole hill, it is a mountain.

Not necessarily the issues discussed here.

The mountain is this:

THE SELECTION PROCESS IS PATENTLY FLAWED AND NOT INDEPENDENT.

This you can place the blame right on the desk of James Ali(e)x Michel.

Not Gappy, Not Lafortune, Not Purvis, Not Elizabeth, not even Bonnelame ( CAA).

Read the next article. then let's come back and discuss the mess.

The Communists have derailed the democratic experiment in Seychelles. Their action has taken us back to a One Party State.

And instead of working along with the commission and playing by the rules we look for problems.....

DG-

There are big problems. The process of selection has not been independent and this violates and compromises the Commonwealth recommendations completely.

If we stay silent, we compromise, the process of democratic transition in Seychelles, which is not accomplished yet, according to the Commonwealth.

You play along, we will play as we choose to play.

Gill, one has to do what one feels is right, but sometimes it is strategically more important to play along as one gains more that way. Not asking you to submit yourself, just play along to your(party's) own advantage. Just do it in such a smart way that even they do not see it.
