The Commonwealth is defunct and useless, and allows some of its member countries to abuse their power, dictate and oppress its people. It should be wound up and put to rest like its commonwealth observers, who just sleep on the job and then claim their huge expenses at the cost to the Tax Payers!

TRUE,,. the people of Seychelles should join the common-poor instead. The world has become one big poor village and we are no longer alienated by oceans, mountains and valleys because of the internet.

We've seen how the wealth of this earth has been confiscated by the top 1%. (these are the peoples with common wealth). We the 99% (or the common-poor as I would like to put it) are continuously struggling to meet basic standard of living.

Education was supposed to get us out of this hole but instead it dug a bigger hole for us to lay in. We are encouraged to borrow large student loans to get an higher education but at the end of our studies we found ourselves unemployed with a growing debt.

So if you are part of the commonwealth (the problem) then you are part of the 1%, otherwise, you are part of the 99% (the victims) and poverty is our common link.

If you think you are any different because the people of Seychelles paid for your education (you're not there yet as my friend would like to put it) and you are guaranteed employment upon the completion of your degree (???). Think again, and beware for judgement day is slowly approaching and the common-poor will be the one holding the sticks.

A FREEDOM LOVING SESELWA!

The Commonwealth lied and still telling lies - they said they change Sechelles Seychelles One Party State. In this manner using their media, the British institutions and the involvement of their polticians they have kept/surpressed the Seychellois exile, migrant community in Britain, Canada, Australia under their powers.

The British duplicity is evil, why they point at some despote government and not others.

They messed up Seychelles big time in the first place because we trusted the system - working. Most important because of our French roots and system, culture.

However corrupt, dishonest and evil - the need to keep protesting that across the world there are some 15,000 - 20,000 exiles/refugee, they cannot go back to their Native country.

Under the Mancham - National Reconciliation agenda the past 21 years, the Commonwealth have played a dirty and dishonest part - those leading the Commonwealth do not want Seychelles to regain its former national rights by making it possible to allow those exile to return - because they are of strong French root, Catholic belief and they have a different "archaic, illuminati, fraternal, templar, masonic and heraldic heritage/mechanism." They do not support all the British Commonwealth con and crap.

Those from the Commonwealth who for the past 21 years have supported covertly that some 7,000 - 10,000 none Seychellois national come and settle in Seychelles, take over their lands, economic and social rights. Had this not been so they would have/ought to have been the first to point to the world of the abnormal situation which exist in Seychelles as a member of the Commonwealth. They would have supported and assisted the 15,000 - 20,000 Seychelles exile/refugee in their international and regional efforts to regain their rights, return to their country and attain economic rights.

Most modern Grouping of Nations allow its citizens to comment by providing appropriate platform and take part in global debate and on their working, not so the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth is being used to supress Seychelles national interest and regional interests, to supress its Citizens interests and rights - those who control the agenda of the Commonwealth.

What a load of nonsense. Sesel pou Seselwa. All those so called Seselwa who want it all by living and working overseas and have foreign passports are not real Seselwa and cannot claim to have equal rights like us. Same applies for those naturalised Seselwa, they must give up their foreign passports. Christopher Gill you are not a true Seselwa and never will be one. Ramkalawan and James Michel are true Seselwa. Sesel for true seselwa only

Anonymous said...

In that case, the only true Seychellois are the Tortoises. RAMKA is a Malagasy and Michel is a Tanzanian. And you my friend, you are just dumb.

Well said don't give up the fight.

the word out is marc houreau is gunning to take over the snp in this november convention he is trying to squeeze christopher gill and keep him quite but Gill is saying otherwise.

We have been compelled to address certain issues regarding the son of late President Ghadaffi wish to surrender to the ICC.

We request that some of you who can read the link about the Kenya 2007 - 2008 political uprising, killing and events. What we had written, some of the political issues being impacted by that SIROP etc exile return program, political change in the region and the COMECON, those who followed events closely.

We ask that those of you who can get Mr Christopher Gill, Mr Phillipe Boulle, Rev Wankalawan, Mr Ralph Volcer, Mr Paul Chow and Mr Gabriel Horeau beside Mr Dhanjee to read this Wikipedia article. Obviously a great deal have been left out.

We have also address the current Madagascar Presiden on this issue. Because the corrupted international benchmark, the media, the Justice, the ICC what drove, was driving these issues.

At the time there was never any notion/hint that a President Obama would be or ever get elected. Since his election events in the Region, the world, Asia, particularly North Africa. The current ICC trials and media are scared to mention the name of President Obama. Whilst some kind of stability has return to Kenya - the question to ask had President Obama not been elected what would have been the situation in Libya, and other North African States.

President JA Michel is being completely arrogant - he ought to go in the bath room sit there for a few hours read that Wikipedia article and think very hard, think about President FA Rene and try and find out what took place and why. Those from the African Union, their arrogance and so call bench mark.

Having stated the above - given President Ghadaffi unique role, responsibilities, onus, requirement, demand to drive the issues of OAU to African Union, the issues conveyed to President Kabiki in 2007 -8, about the Seychelles impacts into some of those issues in then Kenya, President FA Rene adviced/informed, what we wrote, he was made aware of the reason for the undercurrent in Kenya, the SIROP etc exile/refugee program impact, the COMECON impact issues, the recommandation, advice those who fail to understand, grasp what is/was happening - they are heading for serious trouble.

What we have addressed about the "so call Arab Spring" what impacted it/trigerred it as against what has been written in the media and broadcast and the Social networks and the blogs. The mechanism, most important all four Heads of North African state who monitor such events and phenomena across Africa - in Kenya among others, inability, refusal to grasp what was taking place in their very country, government, economy and society. This include President Ghadaffi and all his Officials.

Good news for seychelles coming out of this commommwealth heads of state meeting in perth. The Australian Gov, has proposed a foreign affairs ministry within the commonwealth to provide a check and balance and investigate human rights abuses and democracy to member states. resolution passed on 29/10/11.

If the Commonwealth have approved it, they know it will be very ineffective. They are not in the habit of making a rod for their own backs. Are the aborigines celebrating too ? It is 20 years since the Commonwealth called for democracy in Commonwealth countries. The Aussies have to do something to make sure their conference is "seen" as a success. But don't expect anything to change in Seychelles. They see nothing wrong going on here.

The last blogger post is really what we should expect namely that nothing would change right here in our country and this more real due to the rfact that since we discover oil we seeing countries which we did not really or have less interest in our country all rushing to praise the autocratic regime, shake hands with Michel and as to Australia does not even hesitate to welcome with 21 hot od canons though he is one of the most known criminal in the region. The appraoches of these countries should be of great concern to our people, history shows once a country possess raw and natural resources like oil etc many of those so call democraitc countires are ready to shut the eyes and even contribute to keep dictatorships in place under the guise of fake stability in order to pillage others resources thus help keep dictators in power. He saw such practices in Congo under Mobutu,Sony Abbacha In negeria,Gabon,Niger and even now in Bahrain whereby people want change but unlike others countries like Yemen, shortly Lybia we heard foreigne countires calling for change they instead pretent not to see the atrocities beingcommitted by a small tribe over his people.
