Yes I did meet El Materi and it was a very interesting meeting:
I met the gentleman at Chilli bar during the afternoon to get his side of the story on his request towards his application through lawyer Melchior Vidot.
The meeting was straight forward and he agreed to no pictures by camera nor recordings, but as common sense I taped the conversation as evidence should anything be misinterpreted.
El Materi went on about his country and to a point where he showed me some footage online on his mobile phone about a Belgium lawyer or prosecutor complaining about the justice of Tunisia. I was offered a meal by him but denied since I was already full and had already eaten from a previous meeting with a Seychellois. I was then offered beverage and took one coca cola.
Our discussion went on as far as me asking him if he had paid off other opposition and papers not to write about him whom he posed then denied. He added that he had no intention of venturing into Seychelles politics as he merely was seeking a safe haven for his family until situation says otherwise in Tunisia.
I proposed to him why did he not go to England or another place where there is no extradition as his weight and anger of the Tunisian people is now turned on Seychelles with his presence. He could not directly respond to this and avoided the question. On James Manchams visit he agreed that Mancham did visit but he denounced the allegation that he had purchased the La Misere house for millions.
The conversation went on with me asking him why Seychelles and he went on as his safety and beyond. I was escorted to my car by he and we spoke of Manchams influence on Seychellois where I made clear to him that Mancham is now a thing of the past and regarded as such due to his direct relations to pl and James Michel sham elected president.
This meeting and prior to that was very well aware by the Seychelles freedom party and the leader and a report was given soon after the meeting. I was not offered a single scent as bribe and I did not take any money from him. I went on further to investigate El Materi and posting about him.
One thing which could have been considered as an attempt to lure me into a trap was when El Materi asked me about my mother selling a piece of land which I had referred her to Melchior to get this done.
The reason I referred my mother land sale to Melchior was because Melchior Is the former master registrar of the courts and directly affiliated with wealthy Seychellois personnel’s. This would have made it easy to find a proper Seychellois buyer as my policy is not to sell our land to foreigners which Michel recently had an epiphany about, despite the laws existence.
As quickly I as explained this to El Materi he back off the issue and went defensive by telling me the minute he stepped into a Seychellois taxi they would try to sell him land.
