Is Seychelles Spared From Prism?? EDD Snowden's Unveilment Brings About Concerns On Rapicc Base In Seychelles True Motives

According to Snowden we are being watch by the NSA and it's branches all over the world whether we are suspect's or victims of any illegal acts of terrorism. Under the guise of war on Piracy we may just be victims of prism in the indian ocean. Prism can be based or branched in the seychelles as a means to monitor and target specific countries that lies within the region of the Indian ocean.

Rapicc was immediately put in place with any further ado in full support to prosecute Somali pirates by means of central intelligence and monitoring. Seychelles and its ruling government is no saint when it comes towards using any means possible to victimize or spy on its own people as many newspapers have suggested in the past and present. So what will make Rapicc base and its capabilities different?

"LONDON CONFERENCE ON SOMALIA: Pirate of the Indian Ocean
British Premier David Cameron has called a meeting: the London Conference on Somalia. Sitting through various news reports on the story, several things came to my mind. First, I was quite blown off by the importance of the leaders attending the meeting: U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. State Secretary Clinton, The EU’s President Barroso, the Arab League, the African Union... and of course, our own dear PM. The Somali problem is therefore very high on the priority list for the participants, given the stakes on security and economic activity in ‘Pirate Ocean’.
I am unsure as to the real interest of Mauritius in the whole problem though, other than an opportunistic approach to the issue. I am no expert on the matter and may be proven wrong in the future, but I see little true concern with piracy other than when hits a ship which is bringing our food or fuel rations, or if it happens to have caused one or more victims. The Mauritian government is several steps behind the neighbouring Seychelles, which has partnered not only with European countries and the U.S., but also with India, China, Russia and event Australia to address piracy. Since he arrived in London on Tuesday (two days before the conference), Seychellois President Michel signed the Regional Anti-Piracy Prosecution and Intelligence Coordination Centre (RAPICC) MoU with the UK, agreed with Somaliland premier Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo on the transfer or pirates, visited the Europe Naval Forces in Northwood and met Cameron at 10, Downing Street. Our own beloved Head of Government, who’s big on brushing shoulders with top world leaders, was shown from behind arriving at Lancaster House on Thursday’s MBC broadcast. It was signalled loud and clear that he left the country on Sunday, but what did the PM do in the run-up to the meeting? Before thursday the MBC, which has sent a ‘senior’ News Editor to London, failed to provide viewers with anything more substantial than our venerated Head of State going through a random doorway. On Friday morning, the MBC radio aired a statement in which the PM waxed lyrical (again) on how he was ‘congratulated’ by Cameron, Clinton and consort, adding that he was committed to addressing the problem of Somalia inland. Ironically, however, he also said that Mauritius did not sign the RAPICC agreement with the UK.

Michel, on the other hand, who travelled with a team from the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) and Seychelles Nation, had at least five news stories in the run-up to the Thursday meeting, with an additional two on Friday morning. His Chief Press Secretary kept media contacts informed of his every move. He was interviewed by the BBC and made a plea to ‘regional’ allies to help support the Seychellois effort, which is indeed recognized by the international community. In earnest, the Seychelles have been hit hard by piracy. They are losing out to pirates in terms of fisheries and tourism, which are the backbones of their economy, and spending 4% of their GDP just trying to free themselves of this scourge. They are dependent of willful foreign friends to beef up their security, are holding up about 10% of the total amount of jailed pirates and working on restoring political stability in Somalia. Mauritius also adheres to this principle, but remains unforthcoming in action. Despite Ramgoolam claiming the contrary, the island seems to discount the real danger of Al-Shabaab, which has been recognised as a terrorist cell of Al Qaeda in the Horn of Africa. Other than trying to secure the dollars of the UNODC for the disputed pirate prison, training a few good men in counter-piracy, voting one piece of legislation and offering the occasional verbal pledge, Mauritius remains a bit of a pirate itself in this battle. I am wondering whether other than enjoying a ‘White February’, some Oxford Street shopping or tea with old mates, there was any point in taxpayers’ money being spent on sending a ‘delegation’ to this conference. If Mauritius wants to guarantee its people’s physical and economic security, which are directly endangered by the Pirates of the Indian Ocean, it is going to have to do a lot, lot more than lip service."

The government should re-assure the people of Seychelles that phone tapping and email filtering is still only able through a court order or warrant. I am looking further into the intent of the base and its functions and will forward more information's on it while we await a government and its partners responses on Rapicc's real intentions.

Seychelles is in so much trouble and danger, thanks to a government of malfeasant and greed.

To answer your last question, remember it wasn't called tye Tracking Station for no reason.

The tracking stations function then on mahe was to track aircraft and ship movements in the vicinity or region for protection of Diego Garcia and other Americans instalations from threats and in return seychelles was given perks.

The difference this timeis edd snowden said it out clear and all on his own that we are all being watch and filtered. This is a concern as it is not positive, if it was drug dealers smugglers corruption would have been eradicated entirely in seychelles as the means to propagate the illegal acts above is all monitored yet allowed and not dealt with even as now.

In a Democracy there is privacy priveledges and that is your right.

to violate such a reason beyond reasonable doubt grants you a warrant under the law to breach it but only a warrant otherwise it is an offence to breach privacy right.

Seychellois should gather in town with planks and do a march for justice and respect and go on a strike for as long as they approve to get rid of this practice.

Even your business confidentiality is not secure, banks are not secure, government phones or accounts are not secure... maybe now we have your attention.....
